What is HTML?

HTML is an acronym. It stands for 'HyperText Markup Language' and it's the coding language website designers use to create Hypertext documents (or webpages - like this one!). The text in the document is formatted by 'Tags' which surround a block of code, detailing how it should appear.

You can also create hypertext 'links' between documents, like this one:

The HTML is contained within these < > guys and the text is 'nested' in the formatting HTML.

With HTML, you can include images, video etc. HMTL is fun, but if you really want a professional development, hire a professional.
